How do I book a flight date and time?
You can book right here online! Alternatively, you can either book in person at a Flight Experience store, or by phone. Please check our Contact Us page for exact store details.
How do I redeem a Gift Card?
Simple! click this link. It will take you to our gift card redemption page. Alternatively, just go through the process of booking a new experience, then you can add your gift card during the payment process.
Do gift vouchers expire?
All full-priced gift vouchers have an expiry of three years (or 1095 days to be exact!). Gift vouchers or experiences that were purchased through discounts, promotions etc have varying expiry dates depending on the experience and depending on the promotion. It's best to check our Terms & Conditions for more up-to-date information on all current expiry dates. If you have any further questions, just give us a call: 1800 737 800
When I book online, what do I get?
You will receive an email containing all of the information about your experience and booking. You can also choose to receive a physical 'retro-style' Boarding Pass in the name of the flyer and sent to a nominated address. The Boarding Pass is an optional extra, chosen at checkout.
Can I book a date and time for my flight at the time of purchase?
Yes, when you purchase online you can choose a date and time you wish to fly.
Can I upgrade to a longer flight than the one purchased?
Yes, and its easy! when you go to book in your pre-purchased experience, all you have to do is select the experience you actually want and it will simply ask you to pay the difference after adding in your voucher code.
What can I purchase with my Gift Card?
Basically any 737 or Virtual Reality simulator experience. Most of our Gift Cards are labeled with a specific simulator experience and duration. However, that's just to show what the purchaser intended and, in reality, its a monetary gift card that can be used on any experience. Upgrade or switch simulators, the choice is yours! Just keep in mind that Gift Cards and any unused or unusable credit are non-refundable.

General FAQ:

Do I need any flying experience?
Absolutely not, these packages are tailored to suit the level of knowledge and experience you have.
Will I get to fly the simulator?
Yes. These packages are designed to give you as much hands on flying as you can handle. Most customers are in command for 99% of the experience.
Do I have to complete the first flight package before I can do the others?
No, you can do any flight package without any prior experience. The only expections to this are a few challenge series experience which require you complete them in order. If this is the case, It will mention this when booking.
How technical is the briefing and flight, will I understand it all?
Yes you will! Our awesome instructors will tailor the briefing and flight to suit your level of skill. We can cater for the completely inexperienced right through to professional pilots.

Our instructors are highly trained to ensure your experience is always amazing.
Is this done as a group or one on one?
It depends on the experience. The standard 737 experiences are typically conducted one on one with your instructor. We have 'Multi' experiences in the 737 simulator which can have up to 4 participants.

We also have two Virtual Reality simulators, so these can be run in pairs.
Can others spectate?
Of course! no flight is complete without passengers. There is seating for two extra people to join you during your flight in the 737 airliner simulator. As for the Virtual Reality simulators, spectators can watch what the pilots are doing on our big screen tvs.

There is no extra charge for this.
What is the minimum age?
Our recommended minimum age is 8, although we suggest checking out our section for Kids Experiences if they are around 8-12yo. Young children must be supervised by a parent or guardian. There is no maximum age.
Is the 737 airliner simulator fully enclosed?
Yes it is. Our airliner simulator is highly realistic and to achieve this, the device is completely enclosed. This gives a very real feeling atmosphere with the sounds and immersive visuals.

If you or the person you’re buying this voucher for has an issue with being in a confined space, please call your local store or visit the simulator prior to purchasing a voucher to ensure you are ok with the space.
Does the 737 simulator have a certification for training?
Yes it does; our simulators have been certified by a number of Civil Aviation Authorities around the world. Our simulators have been approved for various levels of training in the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand.

In Australia, all simulators excluding Adelaide have been certified for MCC Procedural pilot training and as of Oct 2020, both Sydney and Perth have been certified as Category B devices for instrument recency. For more information, please call your local store.
Does the 737 simulator have motion?
No, our simulator is a fixed base device. However the immersion experience combined with the fidelity of visuals, sound and vibration give you an amazing sensory experience. Many customers express the feeling of movement while in the experiences.

The simulator is also fully certified for certain levels of real pilot training which is conducted in many of our stores. Our devices are not 'toys' but very real, very serious training devices used by airlines and flight schools around the world.
Can I purchase a souvenir video and/or photos of my flight on the day?
Yes. If you didn’t pre-purchase the video or photos online, you can still arrange and purchase them on the day of the flight.

We record every experience and always take photos, so you'll never miss out.
If I change my mind, can I get a refund?
Refund requests made within seven days of purchase will incur an admin cost of 20% of the purchase price. Refunds are not granted after the seven day period. Refunds are only available to the purchaser for valid bookings. Gift Cards & Vouchers are only valid at the Flight Experience store of issue. You can change the day or time of any booking up to 48 hours prior to your booked time. Cancellation or change of your booking within 48 hours of the booked time could incur a re-booking fee. If you do not show up for your booked experience and you have not changed the booking at least 48 hours prior to the experience, your booking may be cancelled without refund.
